I’m deaf and I believe this was a first for the website and for Dr [ ]. My husband is my ears, a ‘computerized’ friend was in charge of the video link and, to my relief and delight Dr [ ] typed his questions and comments, so all things are possible! I gave Dr [ ] a very difficult task, with multiple signs and symptoms and asking for a diagnosis from an incident in Sept 2013 for which there has never been a diagnosis except an erroneous one.
A suitable psychiatrist was chosen for me and, reading Dr [ ]’s CV, he appeared to be very suitable which was proven during the video link. He was calm and confident passing that confidence onto me. I had a lot to tell! He let me tell it! First time in nearly 3 years! I didn’t expect a diagnosis, or even a probable one, at the end of the link but he made some interesting and thought-provoking comments. I look forward to his forthcoming letter.
