Associate Specialist Psychiatrist
Dr Zahedi qualified as a medical doctor from Imperial College London in 2014 with a Merit in Surgery and Distinctions in Psychiatry and PACES. Following this she completed foundation training in the East London Deanery and spent some time as a Histopathology trainee before re-discovering her true passion in Psychiatry. She has been working in Psychiatry consistently since February 2019.
Dr Zahedi has completed 2.5 years of Core Psychiatry Training within the Maudsley Training Programme in South London, during which time she held positions in the Junior Doctors Committee, received a commendation for excellent teaching for medical students on psychiatry placements and was nominated by her medical students for PEEP trainer of the year.
After leaving Core Training Dr Zahedi has worked in various associate specialist and specialty doctor posts across London, including crisis services, community mental health teams, and acute inpatient wards. She has worked for Psychiatry UK since January 2025, initially focused on ADHD assessments, and since December 2025 also working as a titration prescriber, whilst continuing periods of part-time work in the NHS.
Dr Zahedi holds full GMC registration with a license to practice, has passed the Royal College of Psychiatry Membership examinations and is Section 12 approved. She is in the process of acquiring evidence to support her portfolio application for both Approved Clinician status and GMC Specialist Registration to work as a consultant psychiatrist.
